Built-In Battery. Less Wiring. A New EKIY Motorcycle Display Is Coming.

Some rides begin with a little too much preparation. Finding a power connection, routing a cable, and working out how to connect another device to the motorcycle can take attention away from the trip itself.

Our next release takes a simpler approach.

Coming in early December 2026, EKIY’s new motorcycle display will feature a built-in rechargeable battery, allowing you to use the display without connecting it to your motorcycle’s electrical system.

Its name and final design are still under wraps. But the feature at the heart of this release is ready for a first look: power that travels inside the display.

The Battery Is Inside. The Ride Is Yours.

With its own battery on board, the display can operate independently of the motorcycle’s power supply. You can leave the bike’s electrical wiring alone when using it on battery power, with no need to route a power cable from the motorcycle battery just to get started.

For riders who prefer a simpler setup, that is the appeal: fewer installation steps, fewer power cables around the cockpit, and one less connection to think about before heading out.

You still fit the display securely to your motorcycle. The difference is that connecting it to the bike for power becomes a choice.

Charge the display before your ride and enjoy the convenience of its built-in battery.

A Simpler Setup, With Practical Benefits

Motorcycle displays are often chosen for what appears on the screen. This release also considers what happens before you switch it on.

The built-in battery is designed for riders who want to reduce installation work and avoid making a motorcycle power connection part of every setup. It also means the display has its own source of power when it is disconnected from the bike.

Whether you are planning a short outing or preparing for your next weekend ride, the starting point stays simple: a charged display that does not depend on a motorcycle-battery connection to operate.

When the Ride Outlasts the Charge

Of course, plans can change. A short trip becomes a full day out, or a detour adds more miles than expected.

If the built-in battery runs low on a longer ride, the upcoming EKIY display will offer additional charging options. Use a compatible power bank when convenient, or connect to the motorcycle battery through the specified power cable as an emergency backup power option.

That motorcycle connection is there for the journeys when you need it. It gives you another way to supply power if the internal battery is depleted and a power bank or wall outlet is unavailable.

The planned wide-input-voltage design supports this flexibility. Supported voltage ranges and the correct connection equipment will be detailed at launch.
